Activists to Ireland: Pressure Israel on flotilla, AFP says

Irish activists planning to join the international Gaza Strip aid flotilla on Monday called on Ireland's government to pressure Israel to allow the participating ships passage through the IDF naval blockade, AFP reported.
Irish Ship to Gaza campaign (ISG) announced that around 25 people plan to sail on the ship Saoirse (Gaelic for freedom), which will join about a dozen vessels and activists from over 20 countries, according to the report.
"We call upon the Irish government to ask the Israeli government to allow us free access to the port of Gaza," ISG coordinator Fintan Lane, who participated in last year's flotilla, said at a press conference in Dublin. "Israel has absolutely no right, legal or moral, to stop the flotilla."
