ADL to UN: Don't screen 'Miral' at General Assembly

The ADL objected on Tuesday to the UN General Assembly's planned screening of the film Miral, which depicts the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through the eyes of a Palestinian orphan.
In a letter to UN General Assembly President Joseph Deiss, the ADL said its "objections are to the venue and sponsorship of this film," although the organization "honors and respects the long and valued history of expressing political ideas through works of art."
The ADL said the film's storyline distorts facts about Israel and lacks any context for some of the acts attributed to Israel.
