Afghan suicide bomber kills seven police officers

KABUL, Afghanistan — Afghan officials say a suicide car bomber has struck a convoy of NATO troops and Afghan police in nothern Afghanistan, killing seven police officers.
The Interior Ministry says in a statement that the early morning attack occurred in Kunduz province's Imam Sahib district. In addition to the deaths, 6 police and 5 civilians were wounded, the ministry said.
NATO forces spokesman Maj. Michael Johnson says there were no NATO troops killed in the bombing. He said some NATO forces were wounded, but declined to say how many or how seriously they were injured.
