After 40 days, father suspected in son's murder released

The father of a boy found dead in Kfar Kasim last month has been released to house arrest, in a court decision seen as a blow to the police.
The boy, Anas Sarsur  was found near the family home with severe injury marks. Several days later, police arrested his father, Mahmoud, in a development that shocked the family and the town. But after 40 days of investigation, the Ramle Magistrate's Court release him to house arrest at his cousin's home in Taibe, thereby accepting a request by the suspect's attorney, Giora Zilberstein.
Police have 24 hours to appeal the decision.
