After extensive search, man found dead off Bograshov beach

A man's body was discovered by rescue divers 5 meters underneath the water off of the Bograshov beach in Tel Aviv on Sunday afternoon.

The man was declared deceased shortly after being brought to shore.

A ZAKA search and rescue operation involving several divers and search boats was launched on Saturday evening after shouts for help were heard coming from the sea, and was continued on Sunday morning until the missing body was found.

This latest sea-related death comes only a little more than a week after three brothers drowned off of the Ashkelon coast.

ZAKA Chief Officer Chaim Otmazgin said, "we appeal again to the Israeli public to please follow the safety rules and not to enter the sea without a lifeguard present."
