AJC commends South Korea sanctions on Iran

The American Jewish Committee commended South Korea's decision to impose new national sanctions on Iran on Sunday, thanking Seoul for helping deter Teheran from acquiring nuclear-weapons capability.
“South Korea’s laudable action exemplifies growing recognition among leading nations that a nuclear Iran would pose a game-changing danger to regional and global security,” said AJC Executive Director David Harris.
South Korea announced that its sanctions are aimed at 102 entities, including the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines, as well as 24 individuals.
