Akunis to Merkel: You don't want to divide Berlin, we don't want to divide Jerusalem

MK Ofir Akonis told German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Monday that he doesn't want to see Jerusalem divided.

"Just like you don't want to see Berlin divided again, we don't want to divide Jerusalem," he told Merkel during his visit in Germany.

Akonis also discussed the threat of boycotts against Israel and said: "There is a new trend in Europe - to boycott Israel. I am happy Germany opposes this stance, one which only makes peace even harder to achieve."
