Ambassador Danon to UN: 'Cut off flow of Iranian Terror Money'

NEW YORK - Israel’s Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon sent a letter to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Wednesday demanding that he condemn Iran's recent announcement that it will provide funding to the families of Palestinians killed while carrying out terror attacks against Israelis.

The statement had been made by Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali on Wednesday.

“Iran continues to sow terror throughout the world and is fueling the flames of Palestinian terror and incitement,” Danon wrote to the Secretary-General.

“If the UN is really interested in bringing calm to our region, they must cut off the flow of Iranian financial support of terrorism."
