Ambassador Danon: U.S. understands Iran terrorism threat

Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon on Wednesday praised the US for its strong stance on Iran.
"We are now at the opening of the #UNSC, and look forward to President @realDonaldTrump leadership at this morning’s session. #Israel is proud to have a great friend that understands the threat Iran’s terrorism poses to the region," he wrote on Twitter immediately after US President Donald Trump's speech at the UN General Assembly.
US President Donald Trump warned Iran that his administration will soon go beyond previous sanctions regimes by imposing the "toughest" financial penalties ever designed.
Chairing a session of the UN Security Council on nonproliferation in New York, the president continued his rhetorical broadside of the Islamic Republic for a second day after undressing Tehran the day before in a speech to the General Assembly.
