American Jewish C'tee praises new Iran sanctions bill

The American Jewish Committee applauded the bill introduced in the Senate on Thursday which calls for additional sanctions to be levied against Iran should nuclear negotiations with the West fail to yield a comprehensive deal by the end of the six-month deadline.
"Until there are tangible, verifiable deeds by Iran to permanently end its quest for nuclear-weapons capability, Congress is doing the right thing, sending a strong message to Iran that it will pay a heavy price if a permanent agreement on its nuclear program is not achieved," said AJC Executive Director David Harris.
