Arab businesses around Israel to strike Sunday in response to man's death

Arab businesses around Israel will go on strike Sunday, as will Beduin schools in the Negev, in response to the death of 21-year-old Sami al-Ajar, Israel Radio reported.
Al-Ajar was shot on Thursday during a clash with police in Rahat as detectives arrived in the village to raid a suspected drug house. He was taken to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba in critical condition, where he died of his wounds.
Negev subdistrict police said that while they were attempting to arrest two suspects, they were attacked by a group of locals. Police said that a mob began throwing rocks and assaulting police and that the officers began shooting in the air in order to extricate themselves and the two suspects they arrested.
