At least 30 killed in massive ferry fire in Bangladesh - report

A massive fire broke out on a ferry on the southern Sugandha River in Bangladesh on Friday, killing at least 30 people, the Associated Press reported on Friday.

The rescue mission is currently ongoing and it is unclear what caused the fire. However, ferry accidents are fairly common in Bangladesh, a country with 130 different rivers where ferries are a leading mode of transportation. These accidents are usually blamed on lax rules and overcrowding, according to AP.

This is a developing story.
