Religious Zionist MK Itamar Ben-Gvir on Tuesday filed a complaint against the police officers who he claims attacked him during his visits to Sheikh Jarrah over the last few days.
Ben-Gvir received medical attention after he was physically assaulted at Hadassah-University Medical Center, in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem
"The police crossed a red line and physically attacked me," he said.
The MK tried to disrupt the operations of the police units, pushing officers and trying to keep them away from other civilians in the area," Israel Police said in response.
"The officers tried to calm Ben-Gvir down and keep the situation from escalating, but to no avail," it added. "He kicked one of the officers in his upper body area.
