Coalition may attempt to bring Defendant's bill to plenum later today

The government coalition is considering bringing the Defendant's Law to the Knesset plenum for a preliminary reading on Wednesday afternoon according to reports.

The bill would prevent a government in any future Knesset from being formed by an MK under indictment, including Netanyahu. However, if passed, it would not apply to the current Knesset and Netanyahu would still be able to form a government if he gathers 61 mandates prior to the Knesset dissolution.
