An unnamed security prisoner died in Nitzan Prison, the Israel Prison Services Spokesperson Unit reported on Thursday morning.
The 54-year-old prisoner was found unresponsive in his cell, and a medical team was called over but was unable to resuscitate him and called his death.
The circumstances of his death are under investigation.
