A Sukhoi 22 fighter jet crashed in an accident as it left the runway at Shiraz airport in Iran on Wednesday morning, injuring the pilot and co-pilot who were taken to a hospital for treatment, the Iranian state news agency reported.
"The accident at Shiraz airport occurred due to a technical malfunction in the Sukhoi 22 fighter jet, which forced the pilot and co-pilot to abandon the plane and use the ejection seat system, thank God, the pilots are in perfect health," IRGC public relations said according to Iranian state media.
