A fire broke out in Qatar on Saturday at a building that is under construction in a newly built city where the World Cup match is scheduled to play Saturday evening, according to multiple sources.
Qatar's Interior Ministry said that the fire started just after noon local time near the city of Lusail which is hosting multiple games tonight.
Local sites are reporting that the fire sent a cloud of thick black smoke into the sky. There are no reports of injuries.
This is a developing story.
