President Isaac Herzog departed for the first state visit by an Israeli president to Bahrain on Sunday morning.
Herzog and his wife Michal are visiting the Gulf State at the personal invitation of Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
The visit is expected to take about 25 hours with a packed schedule including a visit to the United Arab Emirates for an international space conference.
