Thousands of reserve soldiers were called by the hotline used to call up IDF reserves late Wednesday night after a technical malfunction on the line, according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.
Many of those who received the call and answered reported that the line immediately disconnected without any message.
The incident is under investigation.
