Two people were killed after a small aircraft crashed and burned on Highway 60 near the Shoket junction in the Negev, according to Israeli media reports.
Magen David Adom first responders pronounced the two passengers, a man and a woman, dead upon arriving at the scene. The couple was later identified as Ronnie and Lilach Shushan.
The plane attempted an emergency landing on the highway, according to Israel Police.
