Saudi Arabia executes convict during Ramadan - first since 2009 - report

Saudi Arabia executed a convicted criminal on March 28 during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan - the first time it has done so since 2009.

This was reported Monday by multiple human rights organizations that monitor executions in the kingdom.

According to the various reports, the person executed is a Saudi citizen previously convicted of murder and arson.
