An area in the northern Arava region was declared a closed military zone, after the heavy floods lead to concerns that old explosive mines might have drifted into agricultural areas.
The closure of the area was decided following a tour by Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Avi Dichter in the Arava, accompanied by a team of experts from the Defense Ministry.
The public is asked to be careful and to not enter the closed area.
