A Bat Yam resident in his 40s was detained by police after firing his personal weapon at the Dan Panorama Hotel in Eilat on Friday.
There were no casualties as a result of the incident.
"A citizen who is staying at the hotel on vacation accidentally discharged a bullet from his private weapon," a spokesman for the hotel said. "Fortunately for us, there were no casualties and no damage was caused."
Police seized the gun and are currently investigating the incident.
