Russian warships fire cruise missiles as part of bombardment of Ukraine

The Russian military launched a barrage of drones and cruise missiles into Ukraine on Saturday night, including sea-launched Kalibr missiles, the Ukrainian Air Force said on Sunday.

The Ukrainian military claimed to have shot down 18 Iranian-made Shahed  136 and 131 suicide drones, a Russian Lancet loitering munition, six other unmanned aerial vehicles, and three cruise missiles launched by strategic bombers.

The Kalibr missiles were launched from Russian warships in the Black Sea. The Russian Black Sea Fleet participates in occasional bombardments of Ukrainian positions and cities with the weapons.
