Israeli Water Authority warns of fish poisoning in Kinneret feeder-river

Inspectors from Israel's Water Authority and the Agriculture Ministry suspect that a poison agent has leaked into Nahal Tzalmon, a tributary to Lake Kinneret, according to a statement issued on Tuesday.

The issue was taken under advisement following a report from the Kinneret Research Laboratory about unusual fish mortality rate.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing, but experts have ruled out the possibility of drinking water contamination.
