Due to extreme weather there is a ban on lighting fires in open areas

Fire and Rescue Commissioner Eyal Caspi has signed an order  prohibiting the lighting of bonfires and fires in open areas throughout Israel for 24 hours starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, according to Ynet.

This is due to extreme weather conditions that increase the likelihood of fires spreading. The ban applies to lighting fires in parks, forests, nature reserves and gardens.
