Rabbi Gershon Edelstein, one of the most senior ultra-Orthodox rabbis in Israel, was hospitalized in Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center in Bnei Brak on Thursday, Israeli Media reported on Saturday evening.
The 99-year-old Edelstein suffered from shortness of breath and arrived at the hospital on his own together with his associates. Upon his arrival, it was decided to keep him there for further treatment and supervision.
