US poses sanctions and visa restrictions on Sudan

The United States imposed economic sanctions and visa restrictions on Sudan on Thursday amid fears of a protracted conflict and widespread suffering in the country as both sides have failed to adhere to a ceasefire, White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan said in a statement.
