Israel and the United States signed an agreement on Wednesday that moved Israel closer to joining the Visa Waiver Program, said Israel's National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi.

Following the signing of the agreement by Israeli President Isaac Herzog and US Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides, a program that is set to begin on July 20 will allow any US citizen entry to Israel, including Palestinian dual nationals residing in the occupied West Bank and Gaza, the statement said.

"Today, the State of Israel has taken another significant step in its efforts to join the US Visa Waiver Program," said Hanegbi.
