A 40-year-old man was shot in the head on Friday night in the Shuafat neighborhood in eastern Jerusalem, Ynet reported.
The report states that the man was shot while trying to break up a fight between two families in the neighborhood.
The man received treatment from medical officials but was eventually pronounced dead.
Police began an investigation to find out the circumstances of the incident.
