Arab-Israeli crime family boss arrested at airport minutes before escape

The leader of an Arab-Israeli crime family was arrested at Ben-Gurion Airport on Tuesday, minutes before he was set to depart a plane and escape the country, Israel Police said.

Ismail Jarushi, the leader of one of the most prominent families in the Israeli criminal underworld, was arrested along with seven associates on suspicion of extortion of a southern Israeli contractor for millions of shekels.
