Tel Aviv's light rail to start operations hour earlier on Saturday

The newly-launched Red Line of the Tel Aviv light rail will start operations an hour earlier than planned on Saturday evening, following public backlash over its schedule after Shabbat.

Last week, the light rail only began operating at 9:30 p.m., with the line ending for the night less than two hours later.

This week, the first trains are scheduled to head out at 8:30 p.m.
