Israel's Civil Aviation Authority prohibits recreational use of drones

Israel's Civil Aviation Authority banned the usage and flight of drones on Wednesday for recreational purposes throughout the country.

The ban is intended to reduce the danger of misidentification of the drone by security forces as a hostile drone in this tense period, as well as to reduce the risk to aircraft from the Air Force, Israel Police, and medical evacuation forces.
