Rocket sirens sounded across central Israel on Saturday evening amid a heavy rocket barrage from the Gaza Strip.
Several explosions, presumed to be Iron Dome interceptions, were heard above the skies of Rishon Lezion, Holon, Bat Yam, Ramle, Nes Ziona, Beit Dagan, Be'er Yaakov, and Lod.
The Israel Police are now conducting extensive scans in order to locate fallout sites of rocket items in the central region and Tel Aviv, according to a Police spokesperson.
"We call on the residents to stay in the protected areas, to avoid coming to the arenas and not to approach or touch the remains of rockets that may contain explosives and to report this without delay to the 100 hotline of the Israel Police."
