IDF Chief Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari said on Tuesday that that the IDF has not yet started a serious invasion of southern Gaza, but that it was still committed to cleaning out Hamas from the south.
Despite Hagari's answer, it is not clear, based on the mix of internal Israeli politics, hostage negotiations, and external diplomatic pressure, when the IDF will be given the green light to invade southern Gaza.
