Lod resident enters synagague, shouts 'Allah Akbar'

A resident of the central Israeli city of Lod allegedly entered a local synagogue and shouted "Allah Akbar," causing distress on the premises, the Police spokesperson said on Saturday.

The suspect, a man in his mid-thirties, was not carrying any weapons and was successfully detained by the police upon their arrival.

After the police conclude questioning the suspect, a decision will be made regarding whether to continue to detain him, alongside whether a psychiatric evaluation is necessary.
