Several people arrested for inciting terror, violence on social media from east Jerusalem

A number of suspects were arrested on Tuesday by Jerusalem Police after posting on social media incitement to terrorism and violence, showing their support for Hamas terrorists, and calls for riots in east Jerusalem, according to Israeli media.

One of the suspects is a relative of the terrorist who carried out a stabbing attack on October 30, in which a police officer was seriously wounded near the Shivtei Israel light rail station. The suspect praised the terrorist, writing on social media, "Martyr, heroic stabbing attack."

Police officers also detained a 10-year-old resident of A-Tur, who was suspected of being involved in multiple break-ins at a school in north Jerusalem.

Two suspects from east Jerusalem were arrested on suspicion of being involved in a violent disturbance, including throwing stones at security forces operating in the east Jerusalem area a few weeks ago.

All of the suspects were brought in for further questioning.
