The sitting council head of Samaria, Yossi Dagan, was elected by an overwhelming majority of 80% of the vote, beginning his third term. He is one of the council heads with the highest voting rates in Israel.

Dagan defeated main competitor Tamir Ben Shlomi.

Dagan thanked residents, "The embrace and trust give me strength; together, we will bring Samaria to heights we have never known."
