Spanish PM: 'Won't recognize Palestinian statehood without European partnership'

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced that he will not recognize a unilateral decision of an independent Palestinian state, Maariv reported early Saturday.

Sanchez further added that an agreement has been reached with Ireland, Malta, and Slovenia to accept the decision "when the circumstances are desirable."

According to him, the goal is to work with other countries to "well calibrate the moment when we decide to recognize a Palestinian state."

This is a developing story.
