IDF Spokesperson R.-Adm. Daniel Hagari said on Thursday that the IDF was behind the GPS disruptions that Israelis were reporting earlier in the day.
"We proactively activated a GPS interference, which was absolutely necessary," Hagari said.
Earlier on Thursday, residents in Israel's central region reported GPS disruptions in applications such as Google Maps, Waze, and Moovit.
