France is reaffirming its support for the International Criminal Court (ICC) and will mobilize with its partners so that the ICC can continue its mission in an independent and impartial way, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Friday.
US President Donald Trump on Thursday authorized economic and travel sanctions targeting people who work on ICC investigations of US citizens or US allies such as Israel.
The United States, China, Russia, and Israel are not members of the ICC.
