Assad-era Mufti Ahmed Hasson was allegedly arrested by the new regime in Damascus after a video of him at the airport circulated on social media, Syrian media reported Wednesday night.
During his time with the regime, Hasson was nicknamed the "Sheikh of the Explosive Barrels” - a reference to him giving religious legitimacy to the crimes committed by the Assad regime against the Syrian people.
