Ashkelon man 'badly beaten for not answering question'

A 22-year-old man was badly beaten in Ashkelon for "not answering a question" posed to him by another young man, police said on Tuesday.
The injured man was spotted and stopped by an intelligence officer while walking on an Ashkelon street after the incident.
The young man told the officer that he was assaulted by a suspect who had asked him a question at a kiosk. "The assault victim did not answer. The suspect told him, 'wait and see, I'll show you what will happen,'" police said.
The suspect returned with three friends and the group launched a vicious assault, according to police, causing the victim serious injuries.
The victim told police he knew where his main attacker lived. Officers arrested the suspect on suspicion of assault. He was charged on Tuesday.
