Ashkelon man gets 15-months jail for killing puppies

An Ashkelon man was given a 15-month prison sentence Sunday for serious animal abuse after throwing a litter of puppies against a wall during a drunken rage.
According to the investigation by Israel Police, the 38-year-old suspect, who had been heavily drinking and arguing with his sister began to throw several three-week-old puppies against a wall, killing them. After burying the puppies and returning home, he began to argue again with his sister, who had another dog. The suspect then began to repeatedly punch the dog in its head.
In addition to the prison sentence, the man will have to pay a fine and abide by certain conditions for the next three years.
