Ashkelon mayor ceases municipal construction by Arab workers

Ashkelon Mayor Itamar Shimoni will stop the city’s employment of Arab workers in local city parks, he said in a Facebook post on Wednesday night.
Shimoni said that in the locations where construction on bomb shelters is being performed by Arab laborers, the work is to be stopped until further notice.
He added that he had ordered the placing of armed security guards for kindergartens and preschools that are next to construction sites that employ Arabs.
