Ashkenazi lands high-paying job in oil-searching company

Former IDF chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. (ret.) Gabi Ashkenazi is set to take up a new executive post at an oil-searching company.
According to a statement released by Shemen Industries on Sunday, Ashkenazi will become the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the company.
The Ashdod-based firm will pay Ashkenazi NIS 100,000 a month in return for his service as a strategic advisor. He will also be tasked with identifying business opportunities in oil and gas searches, and represent the company in a variety of forums.
