Authorities pull weight loss pill 'Reductil' off the market

The Health Ministry on Sunday announced that it has halted the sale of weight loss pill "Reductil."
The pill is currently manufactured by the firm Abbott Laboratories and was marketed in Israel by Teva Pharmaceuticals.
The Health Ministry ordered sales of the pill halted on the Israeli market after the drug was revealed to cause many several adverse health effects, namely a dramatically increased risk of heart attack, Israel Radio reported.
Individuals currently using Reductil are advised to discontinue the medication immediately.
