Ayalon, Ben-Aryeh to testify for State against Liberman

Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon, Ze'ev Ben-Aryeh and various police and Justice Ministry officials will be among the witnesses that will testify against  former foreign minister Avigdor Liberman in the Ambassador Affair, according to an indictment filed to the Knesset by Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein on Thursday.
According to a Channel 10 report aired last week, Ayalon had not been questioned in the Ambassador Affair. Weinstein wrote in his indictment that police had since undertaken a secondary investigation, from which they compiled facts that will be used in the case against Liberman.
The State also plans to use the testimony of Ze'ev Ben-Aryeh, whom Liberman allegedly tried to appoint to the Belarus ambassador position in exchange for information about a separate case against him.
Israeli ambassador to Paris Yossi Gal, as well as various other high ranking officials in the foreign ministry, Israel Police, and the Justice Ministry will also testify for the State against Liberman.
