Ayalon to UN: 'Painful compromises' necessary for peace

Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon addressed the UN Ad Hoc Liason Committee in New York on Tuesday, mentioning the current peace talks, the Israeli economy and the situation in Gaza.
Ayalon reiterated the importance of making "painful compromises" in order to achieve peace, while reminding committee members of "resurgent terrorism" in the West Bank.
He also mentioned the easing of the blockade on Gaza, even as "Hamas continues to target Israeli populations centers with rocket fire on a daily basis."
