Azzam Azzam: 'The trauma hasn’t left me'

Azzam Azzam, a Druse from Maghar in the Eastern Galilee imprisoned for eight years (1996-2004) in Egypt on charges of spying for Israel, said Tuesday that he was still traumatized by his ordeal.
“The trauma hasn’t left me,” he told The Jerusalem Post as he stood in Mitzpe Hila, waiting for Gilad Schalit to return home after five years of captivity in Gaza. “At night it all comes back,” he said.
